The mind is a magical instrument. It controls everything, It holds the image of who and what you are and has ultimate power over your body and your thoughts and actions. But your Mind is DEAD without YOU. It only has “value” when you “use it.”
Strengthening the mind is imperative so as to trust in your own potential and be your own person and not be swayed by outer circumstances and the influence of others.
How does one start to train your mind?
Through Autosuggestion, you basically suggest to yourself through “Affirmations the thoughts you want to plant in your Subconscious mind and then keep repeating these affirmations daily for 90 days engaging all your senses as if it “has already materialized.”
Here is an example. If I want to have more self confidence I would frame an Affirmation like “I am so happy and appreciative now that I believe in myself and I am sure of myself and handle myself with confidence and love.”
FEEL IT as you say it.
Imagine scenarios where you were NOT confident of yourself and RE FRAME THE SAME SCENARIO in your mind imagining it the way you WANT IT TO BE.
Close your eyes and imagine it VIVIDLY in your mind.
Another great way to detox your mind is watching comedy.
Watch 5 minutes of comedy everyday in the morning to set your mind on positive, feel good vibrations. D. Bernie Siegel used comedy as Therapy and I have tried it too and since I write my own standup comedy scripts, I find the whole process of laughing and making people laugh very therapeutic.

This need not be boring and daunting. Just sit with yourself and your thoughts for 2 to 5 minutes a day every morning. Don’t fight any thoughts or feelings that come up. Just let them flow in and out of your mind. All negative thoughts that arise, laugh at them in your mind and thank your mind for sharing and let them go.
Positive thoughts that come up must be “validated and thank yourself for generation positive thoughts”.
Quieten your mind which means “not shutting it down” because you cannot really do that unless you have years and years of training in “Mindfulness”.
All you want to do is to just BE WITH YOURSELF, NAKED AND PURE. LIKE AN EXTENSION OF YOUR PURE POTENTIAL.
Meditation will teach you to enjoy your own company and to value and validate yourself more. YOU NEED NO OUTSIDE VALIDATION.
The word BODY brings up so many images for a person. These could range anywhere from the aesthetic and the physical representation to the mechanics of the body to a combination of all of the above and many more.
From a personal point of view THE BODY represents an amalgamation of:
- “How it looks” and “feels to me on a physical level” in terms of “beauty and how i relate to it”
- How the body “functions as a marvelous machine” and the physical strength the body possesses
- I believe that the body is the “vehicle for the spirit or soul”

But to get you fired up, I am going to be giving you 3 sure fire ways to step up your Body image and an exercise tip to follow for 15 days to see a noticeable difference.
Body Image Affrimation
- “ I am so happy and appreciative now that I am living in my ideal and sexy body.” – Photoshop a picture of your face onto a body you want your body to look like and hold this mental Picture in your mind whilst saying this affirmation at least 3 times a day for 3 minutes each time for 90 days.
The key is to engage all your senses whilst holding this image of your new body in your mind and repeating the affirmation.
BURPEES & SURYANAMASKARS, diet
- Perform 10 Full body or modified BURPEES – Watch a good demo video on YouTube AND BUILD ON THAT in multiples of 2, 4 etc every day. Ultimately you wanna do at least 50 Burpees at a stretch. Once you have accomplished that, and then work on decreasing your time to complete them. THE BURPEE is a total body aerobic and toning exercise and I swear by them. I do about a 100 daily in 10 minutes and working on reducing my time to 6 Minutes in the next 3 months.
- You must treat food as MEDICINE and notice and make a list of the foods that serve you and those that don’t. Watch for bloating, gas, burping, lower abdomen pain, headaches, fatigue, lethargy and irritability.
- Try 10 Suryanamaskars OR “Sun Salutations" which is a Yoga Vinyasa cycle of 12 movements that has many benefits :-
- A complete body toning exercise when done slowly and focusing on coordination each movement with the in and out breath.
- A complete cardio workout when done fast.
- A mind detox because you are focusing on your breath and calming the mind.
- A detox for your organs and glands.
- A spinal flush and much more.

- Once you get the hang of it build on working unto 50 Suryanamaskar’s on each side
- A combination of SuryaNamaskars and Burpees will give you the best Body Toning and Aerobic workout and you can do it any time and any place.
The body is a temple and we must be mindful of this and treat it with respect, love and kindness.

DEEPAK CHOPRA – The soul is the core of your being. It is eternal. It doesn’t exist in space/time. It’s a field of infinite possibilities, infinite creativity. It’s your internal reference point with which you should always be in touch.
DEBBIE FORD – To me, the soul is a part of us that never dies. It’s who we are at our core. And it carries all the messages and the lessons that we’ve learned in the past, and will carry all the lessons and the messages that we will carry into the future.
DR. WAYNE DYER – The soul is the birth less, deathless, changeless part of us. The part of us that looks out from behind our eyes and has no form. The soul is infinite so there is no in or out of it. It is everywhere. There’s no place that it is not.
BOB PROCTOR – Your soul knows the geography of your destination. Follow your feelings. It will tell you where to go.
To live consciously as the Soul is part of the path of enlightenment. The Soul has come here to experience and contribute.
Living as your Soul creates the opportunity for the mind and personality to step away from what no longer works. When connection with the Soul becomes easy for the personality, then the person itself begins to look for this connection; the person begins to expect that there is a higher way to view a given situation and a different way to approach the act of creating what is desired. It may be for the person that initially the act of connecting with the Soul is simply the presence of a deep seated peace, a moment of respite in a busy day or a difficult situation. As the person learns to trust this connection, both in terms of what is possible and that the person can easily access this light, then the personality begins to actively seek out the connection with the Soul.
At this point a shift in orientation for the person has occurred. He/she no longer sees the Soul as something elusive, something outside the self but rather sees the presence of the Soul as a partner for the person. This shift and awareness is the first step in living as a Soul. Having this awareness means that the person not only recognizes that there is benefit to connecting with the Soul but also that the person is ready to change some of its world views in order to make room for the presence of the Soul in daily life. Without these two components the Soul remains an aspect of the composite being that remains in the background. The Soul is present and willing to assist the person, but cannot do so until the person opens to the possibility.
This, my friends is a journey but a very fulfilling one, discovering your soul and all its intentions for you and the new meaning your life will get once you begin this process of self discovery - like opening a treasure chest.
I have started this journey 5 years ago and it gets more and more fulfilling. I will break this down for you in easy to follow and fulfilling exercises and practices to make this journey fun and effective and fulfilling.
